There are two viewpoints and an exhibition at Dodds Woods. The exhibition has a large video screen showing live pictures of the osprey nest. It is open from 10am - 5pm during the time that the Ospreys are nesting, usually April to late August.
Lake District Wildlife Park (formerly Totters World of Animals)
This is a great place for children that is just up the road from the Park. It has over 100 species of animals, many of which are endangered, set in 25 acres of parkland. It has keeper displays throughout the day and indoor and outdoor children’s play areas.

Lakes Whiskey Distillery - Bassenthwaite

Just along the road from the Park, it is the private residence of the Spedding family, who you will very often meet when the house is open. It has beautiful natural gardens, a bee walk, a poetry walk, a woodland playground and a maze.
St Bega's Church
A delightful, peaceful little church with a very interesting history that overlooks the lake. The church is popular for weddings and is just a walk away from the Park.
